The mission of The New Opportunity School for Women Foundation is to offer support for the women of the NOSW at existing programs, with, but not limited to scholarships, dental, medical, and vision assistance, and to explore establishing new program locations.
The New Opportunity School for Women Foundation was established in 2010 as an organization supporting current NOSW programs located in Kentucky, North Carolina, and Virginia/West Virginia, and of all future NOSW program sites. Founded by Jane Stephenson in 1987 in Berea, Kentucky, over 1000 women have graduated from NOSW programs. Jane’s vision captured the high potential of Appalachian women who are determined to improve their lives and create a future that is both fulfilling and successful.
